SERVING CONGREGATION

1. Property & Finance Committee
(Chair – Harvey E / Members- Jill S, Keith A, Andy B, Bryan B)

The Property and Finance Committee meets monthly to review the finances of the congregation and to organize any required maintenance or repairs for the property. The Property and Finance Committee has 5 members, including one member of the session and the Treasurer and Envelope Secretary. The budget for the year is created by the Property and Finance Committee in January, and it is then brought to Session for consultation. The budget is presented to the Congregation for approval at the Annual Meeting, normally held in March.

2. Trinity Presbyterian Women’s Association
(Chair: Nancy A / Secretary: Bev S / Treasurer: Colleen P)
(Members- Jean E, Jill S,  Marilyn S, Maureen P, Meg S, Wanda F,  Nancy B, Marg W, Lynn W)

The Trinity Presbyterian Women’s Association (TPWA) meets monthly and supports the congregation by conducting several church dinners each year. TPWA quietly supports members of the congregation who have recently been in hospital, who are undergoing treatment at home or who have recently suffered a loss. This support takes the form of the provision of meals and dropping by or reaching out by telephone to provide a friendly listening ear. The production and sale of a cookbook generated enthusiasm and supported our church financially.

3. Garage Sale Team (Chair: Keith A)

The Garage Sale Committee has been active for 40+ years. May and November sales support our church financially. While setting up and running the Garage Sale, this group works closely together and has a wonderful time as they convert one person’s junk into another person’s treasure.

5. Trinity Sign Team (Members- Larry, Colleen and William Pattison)

The illuminated sign on Trinity’s front lawn is an important means to keep in touch with our community. It reflects the vitality of our congregation by announcing worship times and special services and by providing information on events like community dinners and fundraisers such as the Turkey Dinner and the Garage Sales. We know the messages are getting out because we often hear comments about the sign from people outside of our congregation.
